Ideal wet weather activity for kids in Honiton, East Devon

Booking essential

Soft play: love it or loathe it, there’s a time and place for soft play and the promise of a coffee while the kids go wild burning off their abundant energy. Planet Play in Honiton, East Devon, is a large soft play across three levels with ball pools, wavy slides, lots of engaging obstacles, a manned-drop slide (restricted opening times but usually open in the school holidays) and a dedicated area for the under 4s. It’s been designed to appeal to children up to age 10 years and is a firm favourite for local kids throughout the primary school years.

There’s also a sensory room offering a quieter haven, a library zone, and of course the all-important café serving a menu of cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, salads and cooked lunches to tables which overlook the play area.

Planet Play is in a large light, bright and airy unit on the Industrial Estate on the edge of Honiton with its own car park and offers bookable sessions seven days a week.

Sessions last two hours and run from 9:15, 11:30 and 13:45 – prebooking is essential. Costs are as follows:

0-11 months - £1.20

1yr – 11 yrs - £4.95

Adults - free

*Summer passes* - if you’re likely to visit several times during the summer holidays, you might like to check out the summer passes which may work out to be better value.

Quarterly, half year and annual memberships are also available.

Don't forget the socks! Anyone entering the soft play area need to be wearing socks.
