As a Mum-of-two, seasoned cafe-lover and seeker of an easy life with the kids, I’ve spent the last few years scouting out some great child-friendly places to go and everyday things to do with young children.

I set up this blog to share ideas for family-friendly activities in the Westcountry, in order to create a useful resource for local families and visitors to the area alike.

Rather than focusing on the larger attractions the South West has to offer, here you’ll find lots of inspiration for the more ‘everyday’ things to do in Devon, Dorset, Somerset and beyond, with some hidden gems thrown in for good measure.

Writing from the perspective of a down-to-earth parent, I aim to give you the practical information useful to help plan your own visit, (along with the odd account of our own day-trip successes and disasters along the way!)
